VTI Coordinator

As the VTI Coordinator at ASIGMA, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, implementation, and reporting of all Vocational Training Institution (VTI) components within the Livelihoods Restoration Program. You will provide leadership, supervision, and guidance on VTI deliverables, ensuring that training and skilling activities meet contractual standards. This includes coordinating stakeholders, supporting trainers, monitoring youth trainees’ progress, and safeguarding the welfare of participants while facilitating learning reviews and tracer studies.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and insight on Vocational Training to ensure VTI deliverables are achieved within the contract.
  • Supervise all skills training courses for VTI Youth to ensure trainers conduct training based on the agreed manual/curriculum and in line with quality standards.
  • Provide productive feedback to VTI trainers on course progress and the performance of youth trainees.
  • Submit biweekly reports to the Enterprise Lead, with dotted lines to the Vulnerable Persons Lead, and update field agents on the overall progress of youth trainees and related concerns.
  • Review and validate all deliverables to ensure professional quality, technical accuracy, timeliness, and coordinated production of materials.
  • Document any grievances, safeguarding issues, and welfare concerns of the youth trained at VTIs and escalate them to the line manager at ASIGMA and VTI coordinators.
  • Conduct support and supervision visits to the practical training centers.
  • Coordinate out-of-school learning or skilling fair visits and ensure trainer safety and representation.
  • Support the Research and Learning Unit on tracer studies for VTI Youth, including documentation of case studies and success stories from the Vocational Training component.
  • Coordinate and manage stakeholder relationships between VTI instructors and the ASIGMA team.
  • Participate in VTI skilling review and learning workshops and meetings organized by ASIGMA.



Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, engineering, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in operational management.
  • Attention to detail e.g., "being able to spot two sentences among 100 that are missing full stops."
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and working with ERP systems is an added advantage.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
